I have always enjoyed science fiction, both books, and movies. The best science fiction predicts the future. In 1870 Jules Vern’s Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, he correctly predicted submarines, SCUBA gear and more, fueling the imagination of millions, even today.
I have tired of entertainment by using the science of the impossible where impossibility is made to blend with the real through graphics and computers. The impossible is becoming the possible through astounding science.
“It is difficult to say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow.”
—Robert Hutchings Goddard
Darkfield Explorer is an adventure of the mind designed to transfer knowledge, hope, inspiration and maybe inspire a few future scientists.
If I succeed, all the wonders will occur inside your head; you will quench your needs by reading and using the tools offered inside the book to learn fantastic things.
“Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be discovered.”
Come with me and discover something fantastic!
This is more than a book.
Many people have contributed to the success and accuracy of this effort. You can too. Many concepts have attached QR readers or hyperlinks to guide the reads who want to know the background or just learn more. Animations will help explain some concepts difficult to grasp, even for me. And finally, Darkfield music will put you into the mood of each major development in our exploration of the cosmos and our cosmic back yard.
